Tostones traditionally are a Puerto Rican dish. They are served typically as appetizers, snacks, or accompanied by an authentic Puerto Rican dish like Arroz y habichuelas. - Plantains
- Oil
- Water
- Salt
- Butter

Steps
Step 1: Peel the skin off the plantain
Step 2: Cut them on an angle (5 - 8 pieces based on the size)
Step 3: Fry for about 3 - 4 minutes or until yellow
Step 4: Transfer to a plate and press down to flatten ( paper towel, spatula or any kitchen utensils will work)
Step 5: place back in oil and fry for approximately 1 minute or until golden brown
Step 6 Add salt for flavor and enjoy!
