Ingredients

  • Plantains
  • Oil
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Butter

Directions

  1. Peel the skin off the plantains
  2. Cut each plantain horizontally on an diagonal angle (should get 5 - 8 slices, depending on plantain size) 
  3. Fry slices in a skillet and hot oil for  3 - 4 minutes, or until golden color
  4. Transfer plantain slices to a flat surface, like a plate or cutting board and press down using a tostoñera or another plate, to flatten each plantain
  5. Place plantains back in oil and fry for approximately 1 minute 
  6. Add salt for flavor and enjoy!
