Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Serving Size: 4 dozen cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Davis Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups oats, uncooked
  • 1 cup raisins

Cooking Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; mix well and add to butter mixture. Stir in oats and raisins until well incorporated. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.

Bake 10- 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
