Brown Sugar Pound Cake With Creamy Holiday Glaze

Cook Time: Bake: 1 hr., 30 min.; Cool: 10 min.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup firmly packed DOMINO Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup DOMINO Granulated Sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Cooking Instructions

  1. Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugars, beating well.
  2. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition.
  3. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  4. Beat at low speed until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  5. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan, and cool on a wire rack. Serve with Creamy Holiday Glaze.
